Upgaring ICP Using Hyper Terminal and RS323 /DB9 Cable

1: Make sure FTP is running on your Laptop.

2: Run V.9.0 SW on your Laptop

3: Connect to ICP using RS323 cable or DB9 cable

4: Start Hyper Terminal and use default setting

5. Startup ICP and monitor until the following comes up, press Space bar until VX Works comes up.


Press to stop auto-boot AFTER countdown starts...

6: Enter command C

7. Change the following:

boot device : motfcc

unit number : 0

processor number : 0

file name : Boot_Install

inet on ethernet (e) : 192.168.1.2:ffffff00

gateway inet (g) : 192.168.1.1(static IP address on your PC)

user (u) : anonymous

ftp password (pw) : password

flags (f) : 0x0

other (o) : motfcc



8: When finished, press Enter

9: type @ on the VX Works:



This will reboot the system and collect the file from your PC.
