HIGH AVAILABILITY
Mitel’s 3300 ICP has been designed as a fully converged IP solution. It can be configured and integrated into any corporate LAN or WAN infrastructure that supports QoS – regardless of manufacturer. Mitel’s architecture uses the IP network to connect IP telephony devices, and simultaneously provides a TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) subsystem (for digital phones and trunks, analog phones and trunks). This capability means that:
•A complete IP implementation, or a TDM implementation, or combination, is supported.
•Optimum voice quality can be provided in all call scenarios, due to minimization of conversions between IP and TDM.
•Migration from traditional PBX to IP telephony is seamless and efficient
•Native support is provided for SIP interoperability with multiple service providers, as well as for a wide variety of traditional PSTN interfaces and networking protocols
•Features and functionality are consistent between the TDM and IP domain
The Mitel 3300 ICP software architecture is highly flexible, enabling it to support:
•Multiple services and capabilities, e.g. as a media gateway, a user gateway, or an applications and services gateway on a variety of purpose-built and industry-standard platforms.
•Scaling to suit customer needs, from individual sites of 10 users or less, up to thousands of users on a single gateway / site, and hundreds of gateways in a large network.
•A variety of hardware platforms on a single common stream of software, including:
o CX, CXi, AX and MXe survivable media gateways, which scale from 10 users to more than 1,000 users.
o MXe user gateway, which supports up to 5,000 users using Mitel Communications Director software, a Linux-based version of Mitel 3300 ICP software
o Sun Fire servers, using Mitel Communications Director. This implementation forms part of the “Mitel Communications Suite” of applications.
•Resiliency and redundancy in a network of 3300 ICP platforms, ensuring there is no single point of failure in the voice network. For example, should connectivity to a primary Mitel 3300 ICP gateway temporarily lost, all system features and capabilities can be preserved in a second Mitel 3300 ICP gateway. IP phones and applications are redirected to the secondary gateway until such time as connectivity returns to the primary.
Based on the principle of Intelligent Evolution, Mitel customers benefit from the latest innovations in communications while preserving a substantial amount of their existing technology infrastructure investments. Mitel is committed to enabling you to embrace the benefits of unified communications at a pace that is comfortable for your business, providing a cost-effective way forward to next-generation solutions. This includes migration from any vendor PBX system, a Mitel PBX system, or the ongoing evolution of IP-based communications systems.
With IP Communication Platforms designed to work on virtually any LAN/WAN infrastructure, you have the choice and flexibility to easily adopt solutions to your individual business needs. Mitel IP communications platforms embrace open standards and allow for superior feature transparency with other incumbent PBXs. Mitel understands that your preferred implementation will allow cost-effective migration from an existing PBX system, will retain high performance levels for your organization, and provide continuity of existing telephony operations with minimal disruptions.
The Mitel 3300 ICP is a converged IP-PBX system that can network to an existing circuit-switched PBX system, allowing for easy migration. Migration to the Mitel 3300 ICP balances potential cost savings, productivity enhancements and business process improvements with minimal risk. As the ideal vehicle for migration to IP telephony, the Mitel 3300 ICP allows incremental evolution on a station-by-station basis, but also provides potential system-wide benefits for your organization and all of its station users. It combines the best attributes of a circuit-switched PBX, including robust software, features and digital telephones, and those of a client/server IP-PBX, including a call telephony server control complex and direct LAN signaling to/from IP telephones.
With the addition of a Mitel 3300 ICP to your network, tied into your existing voice infrastructure, you can implement new business applications to your environment such as teleworking, public mobile phone integration, multi-media collaboration for users and contact centers, and enhanced services delivered to desktop telephone users. The Mitel 3300 ICP is the key to unlocking new productivity tools without having to replace your entire
